yes, you can get Lasik eye surgery. I would do your research, lots of research, and go to several consultations to find your best option. Make sure the surgeon is medically certified and has his degrees (look for that during the consultation). Good Luck.
My husband has the surgery & was told that the astigmatism is always there. They just shape your eye so the light hits it a different way.
Refractive surgery gets rid of most of it.
When I was in my teens, I had pretty bad Astig according to my eye doc… I wore Gas Permeable Lens (similar to Rigid lens). That helped to correct it.
But Today.. I think Lasik can help.
I would research this. Laser eye surgery might fix it.
u can’t "fix" stigmatizims i would know i have 2… glasses help and have to be frequently changed because your eyes change more, contacts help ur eyes change not quite as much but they still change, lazer surgry won’t always work for a stigmatizm… so yeah… i’ve asked about all this… and these were the answers (according to the optomitrist)
