i have astigmatism, and i wear glasses?

i want to switch to contacts but i dont like them because they get blurry all the time. i want contacts tha gives me superb and crisp vision what contacts would work for me? im thinking about gas permeable lenses the rigid ones.
i wore contacts before, (soft torics) but they give me blurry vision sometimes, i planning to try contacts again.

Gas perms definately give you crisp vision, but in my opinion I wouldn’t use them unless my rx was really high! There are alot of great toric lenses on the market these days. Pleanty of options. Work with the contact person at you eye docs office until you find what works for YOU! There are Purevision, Acuvue advanced makes a lens for astigmatism, biomedics, etc. Talk with your doctor and see what they have to say. Voice your concerns, they should work with you!

Gas permeable is great for people with astigmatism. I used to use those when I was wearing contacts.
Semi-perms are ok, just a little annoying to get in and out. I’m waiting for my optometrist to get some soft torics in so I can try them.
I recommend Acuvue Advance for Astigmatism. I know that they are a good make because I wear them, and it is made by a respectable company, Johnson and Johnson.
If you have astigmatism you should really try the toric soft lenses, Proclear torics and Acuvue Advance for Astigmatism are really good lenses, the reason why your experiencing blurry vision with contact lenses is either the contact lens prescription is not correct (this is different from glasses), or you may have been given a spherical instead of a toric lens (used for astigmatism), if you have been given a toric lens it may not be oriented correctly so ur vision may fluctuate.
As for Rigid Gas Permeable Lenses, they will correct your astigmatism but they tend to be much more uncomfortable, especially at the begining…
