I have astigmatism, but I wanted to just try out colored contacts. Is it okay to wear regular colored contacts although i have astigmatism? I know there are toric options available, but that requires going to the optometrist & etc.

Well, I want to get circle lenses really bad &of course i’d need perscription lenses. My left eye has astigmatism, so I was wondering if there were circle lenses for astigmatism. My perscription is quite high, i think around the 500.

I had currently asked this question a while ago, but I had received no answers, so here goes.
I had talked to my optometrist recently about contacts,
and she said I would have to get a different type for my astigmatism in
each eye. Which was -0.75 (cylindrical value of left & right ear)
She had said that I would need toric lenses or another type, which was in between regular or toric and I forgot it sorry.
But I was just wondering what exactly is the difference between all 3 types. And if my astigmatism was that bad?

I have a little bit of astigmatism [ i really dont know what that means haha my eye doctor never told me. . . ]
So i might order circle lenses from a site, & they have a section for astigmatism. Do i have to buy from that section or can i buy whatever i want?

I know that there are contacts for astigmatism and contacts for myopia and even some for severe myopia. But are there contacts for severe myopia AND moderate/severe astigmatism?
If it helps, my prescription is about -7.00 sph & -4.00 cyl

Today is my 1st day wearing these contacts, before today I have been wearing focus dailies for about 7 years. I found out I had astigmatism so my doctor made me switch. I have a really bad headache above & around my eyes…does anyone know if this is normal when switching to new contact lenses? Anyone else experience this?

I’ve tried Baush & Lomb Toric 66 in the past and am currently on a trial pair of Baush & Lomb Advanced Toric. After 6 hours of wearing either brand, I am relieved to take them out. Is there hope??? Is there a better alternative???

I’m not sure how bad my astigmatism is but my eyesight is pretty bad for a 16-year-old (around -8 approximately on both sides). =/
I heard somewhere that circles lenses are not safe for people with astigmatism unless the brand specifically makes them for that like G&G. If that is the case, what about colored contacts? I am aware that circle lenses & colored contacts are two different things.

Yes I have astigmatism & I heard that you can only get clear contact lenses. I want to know why?
And what if I wanted to get a box of colored ones too,would they work or no?
And by clear lenses I ment the ones for astigmatism.
