I wear contacts[just got them]
on my right eye, i wear a normal soft contact lense because the astigmatism in that eye is onle 0.50.

in my left eye, the astigmatism is 1.25…my eye doctor said i could wear a normal soft lense thats NOT toric. I just want to know, is there going to be any problems if i DO switch to a normal one? Because the toric is very uncomfortable, and i took the normal contact lense and put it in my left just to see how much better it would be, and it felt GREAT.

I’ve heard a little bit about freshlook radience, ciba, and durasoft. However I’m looking for an overall affordable contact lense. I have dark hazel eyes and would like a bright blue color. I’ve realized that its difficult to find what I’m am looking for due to my astigmatism. any suggestions?

I am going to buy some contacts online, I want a contact lense that can on occasion be worn overnight, but my options are limited because of my astigmatism. I have already tried purevision torics and acuvue oasis (the purevisions were better) but it has been a while since i have purchased contacts and was wondering if there is anything new out there or if anyone has tried some and have a preference or a recomendation, thank you.
I got the prescription from my eye doctor yesterday, it is the same numbers he would fill out if he were ordering contacts

I have worn special contact lenses for people with astigmatism before (hard lenses with correction for cornea and shortsightedness), but they did not work. I still had problems with blurring and had to squint alot to keep them in place as they seemed to move all the time.

I was wondering if this occurrs because my astigmatism is more severe than the lenses can cope with, or if it is due to the fact that I have an alernating squint (Strabismus). Would this effect my contact lense wearing abilities?
If so, should I just bite the bullet and save for LASIK? Or are there (cheaper) er…other ways of fixing my vision apart from glasses? :)

Thanks!
I meant ‘alternating’ squint. Me need to learn spell, yes?

Contact lenses for astigmatism?

How much should a contact lense exam cost if you have astigmatism? Shouldn’t be the same price as a regular contact lense exam? Where is the cheapest to go get it done?

I have an astigmatism to my right eye. My left eye is completley blind d/t a inoperable cataract.

I wear glasses with balanced lenses just to even out that thickness of the lenses. When I wear my glasses it looks as if I am not looking at you with my left eye (as if I had a lazy eye) but my vision is fine on the right. Occassionally, I will wear a contact lense in my right eye (like for a formal event).

I recently had my eyes checked and my prescription was adjusted. I notice that when I wear my contact lense that my left eye looks a bit crossed then eventually does go crossed eyed when I’m wearing it for a while. Even though I don’t wear my contact very often, when I do wear it I get somewhat of a headache after wearing it all day.

Is my eyes trying to get used tot he contact lense every time I wear it since I don’t wear it often? Or should I get rechecked for the lense prescription/shape of the lense?
just wanted to add, that my lense is a toric lense for astigmastism. Could this be a factor to the crossed eyeness?
